The Copperas Cove Economic Development Corporation (CCEDC) is proud to share the success of our 2nd Annual Regional Hiring Event, held July 30th at the Copperas Cove Civic Center. What started as a bold vision to support local workforce development has grown into one of the most impactful hiring events in our area.
This year, we welcomed:
717 total job seekers
52 regional employers
189 Veterans who received specialized support
For a city the size of Copperas Cove, these numbers are not only impressive—they’re a clear indicator of how our community is working together to grow opportunity, connect talent, and meet the workforce needs of today and tomorrow.
A Team Effort from Start to Finish
This event would not have been possible without the incredible leadership of our Workforce Development Specialist, Brittany Sanders, who spearheaded the planning, coordination, and execution. Her vision and attention to detail made the event seamless for both job seekers and employers.
Our Marketing Director, Sheena Tanner, ensured that word of the event reached every corner of our region. Through thoughtful messaging and outreach, she helped build excitement and bring hundreds of job seekers through the Civic Center doors.
In addition, the entire EDC team played a vital role in making this event a success:
Fred Welch, Executive Director
Sean Stevens, Assistant Director
Anne Seneca, Small Business Support Director
Ellie Stevens
All supported with setup, teardown, and everything in between—embodying the spirit of teamwork.
Strong Partners, Stronger Outcomes
This year’s success was also made possible through partnerships with two vital regional allies:
Texas Veterans Commission
Workforce Solutions of Central Texas
We’re also grateful to the 52 employers who participated. Their commitment to hiring locally and engaging with job seekers one-on-one created real, tangible opportunities for our community members to build better futures.
More Than a Job Fair
Our hiring event wasn’t just about handing out résumés—it was about empowerment. Leading up to the big day, we hosted the Glow Up & Get Hired Workshop, where job seekers gained valuable training on resume writing, dressing for success, and building confidence before meeting potential employers.
From professional headshots to personalized career support, our goal is to ensure that Copperas Cove residents have the tools, support, and opportunities they need to thrive in the modern job market.
Looking Ahead
With continued support from our partners, local businesses, and community members, the future of workforce development in Copperas Cove is bright. Events like these remind us that even in a small city, big things are possible when we come together.
Thank you to everyone who made the 2nd Annual Regional Hiring Event such a powerful success. We’re just getting started.
