CCEDC Wins 2025 Phoenix Award for Community Partner

The CCEDC was awarded a 2025 Phoenix Award in the Community Partner category at the Annual Workforce Awards Ceremony presented by Workforce Solutions of Central Texas for their Hire Cove Program.

The Hire Cove workforce development program works to bridge the gap between local employers and people searching for career opportunities in the Copperas Cove, Texas area. It was started in 2023 by Workforce Development Specialist Brittany Sanders with an initial job fair hosted in conjunction with the CCEDC's quarterly popup market. With the community's response, the program grew quickly. It now includes an online Facebook community group of 300 members, an annual summer hiring event, local job search resources, and workforce development focused workshops and trainings.
