The Copperas Cove Independent School District leadership and staff pride themselves in providing a well rounded quality education and in continuously expanding the opportunities available to all students.
Copperas Cove ISD is made up of 11 schools (1 Preschool, 6 Elementary, 2 Middle and 2 High Schools), serving over 8,200 students. The district is staffed with more than 1,300 teachers, administrators, and support personnel allowing for an average student-teacher ratio of 14:1.
CCISD is home to a National Blue Ribbon School and 10 Purple Star campuses.

Central Texas College – 5 miles from downtown Copperas Cove. CTC offers associate degrees and certificate programs on campus and online, along with tech training and continuing education for adults.
Texas A&M University Central Texas – 14 miles from downtown Copperas Cove. As a proud member of The Texas A&M University System, Texas A&M University-Central Texas is fully aligned with its regional community colleges and offers bachelor’s and master’s degree programs.
University of Mary Hardin Baylor – 30 miles from downtown Copperas Cove. Chartered in 1845, it is one of the oldest continuously operating colleges in Texas. The Christian college is highly respected for the high caliber of the educators, nurses, business leaders, and missionaries it graduates.
