Today, we had the pleasure of hosting the CCEDC Board for a productive retreat. We kicked things off by delving into our community assessment from 2022 with the invaluable insights of ED consultant Mike Barnes. Reflecting on where we've been helps guide us toward where we're going!

Executive Director Fred Welch shared updates on the strides we've made in 2023. It's great to see how much progress we've made in several ongoing projects. Afterward, each member of our dedicated CCEDC team had the opportunity to shine as they presented on their respective focus areas for this fiscal year:

Senior Director of BRE Sean Stevens spoke about the latest in Business Retention & Expansion efforts, upcoming small business resources, and exciting new collaborative projects. Marketing Director Sheena Tanner showed us her marketing strategies and upcoming projects that will elevate our community's visibility. Workforce Development Specialist Brittany Sanders outlined her ambitious plans for workforce development, ensuring our community has the skills and opportunities it needs to thrive. And finally, we were honored to have Chamber President Beth Galick-Carney and City Manager Ryan Haverlah join us, sharing insights on exciting future collaborations that will further bolster our collective efforts.

It's truly inspiring to see such passion and dedication within our team and among our partners. Together, we're building a brighter future for our community, one step at a time. We are so grateful to have such an effective, knowledgeable, and supportive board. Stay tuned for more updates on our current and future projects! We also want to express gratitude to Central Texas College for allowing us to use one of their conference rooms.
