The Copperas Cove Economic Development Corporation (CCEDC) is excited to announce the Skilled Trades Hiring Event, taking place on Tuesday, February 18th, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Copperas Cove Civic Center. This event, designed to connect skilled trades professionals with local employment opportunities, is hosted in partnership with Workforce Solutions of Central Texas, the Texas Veterans Commission, Central Texas College, and CATI Skilled Trades Training.
Following feedback from job seekers at last summer’s Regional Career Fair, the CCEDC identified a strong demand for more trades-related job opportunities. The Skilled Trades Hiring Event is a direct response to this request, offering job seekers a focused platform to connect with 20-30 Central Texas employers representing industries such as: construction, mechanics, electrical work, plumbing, welding, bricklaying, automotive repair and maintenance, heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC), and personal care services such (e.g., barber shops and beauty salons.)

In addition to local employers, attendees will have the opportunity to engage with colleges and training facilities to learn more about trades education programs that can enhance their skills and qualifications.

The Skilled Trades Hiring Event is open to the public and free to attend. Job seekers are encouraged to bring copies of their resumes and be prepared for on-the-spot interviews.
