Tax Increment Reinvestment Zones

The City of Copperas Cove is in the process of establishing a Tax Increment Reinvestment Zone (TIRZ) encompassing more than 2,000 acres across multiple areas of the city.

A TIRZ may be used to support public infrastructure and reinvestment projects that align with the City’s long-term development goals. When applied to eligible project, TIRZ financing can help reduce the cost of eligible public improvements.
