ShopCove Oktoberfest Highlights
The inaugural ShopCove Oktoberfest was a huge success with about 1200 who attended the event on Saturday, September 21, 2024. It was hosted downtown by The Copperas Cove Economic Development Corporation and The Taste of Cove Food Truck Park.
The popup market included 55+ local home based vendors. Pivo & Polka, a San Antonio based band, performed live for a 5 hour set adding a perfect soundtrack to the fun. Several downtown based businesses participated in the event by hosting contests such as a costume contest at House on Main, a social media contest at Taste of Cove Food Truck Park, a Hammerschlagen contest hosted by Phantom Warrior Brewing Company, a brat eating contest hosted by Herb & Earnie’s, and a beer stein holding contest hosted by Nelson Brew Works. There was something for everyone as Jonathan Owens from Rainbow Heart Studios kept the event rolling from one activity to the next. The community had a great time and we've heard so many good things!

The fantastic turnout sparks hope for a thriving downtown Copperas Cove. Several events are slated to take place in the same location. National Night Out will be held on Saturday, September 28th by the Copperas Cove Police Department, and the 30th Annual Krist Kindl Markt will be held December 6-8, 2024 by the Copperas Cove Chamber of Commerce.
