Today, Copperas Cove, Texas celebrated a milestone years in the making.
The groundbreaking ceremony for the new Copperas Cove VA Outpatient Clinic marked an important moment for our veterans, our community, and everyone who has worked to move this project forward.
Getting to this point took years of work, paperwork, coordination, conversations, and energy from people across our community and beyond. Today, we got to celebrate the progress together.
And there is more work ahead. Construction and staffing will take time, with completion expected in Winter 2029.
When the clinic opens, veterans in Copperas Cove, Killeen, Kempner, Lampasas, Gatesville and beyond will have access to a wide range of services closer to home, reducing travel time for care.
Services are expected to include:

• Imaging
• Dental
• Endoscopy
• Social work
• Prosthetics
• Cardiology
• Mental health
• Eye clinic
• Whole health
• Audiology and speech pathology
• Dermatology
• Pulmonology
This project represents a significant investment in the veterans who live in our region and the future of Copperas Cove.
